Workshop Delft blue painting at Heinen Delfts Blauw
Now is your chance to get to know everything there is to know about Delft blue earthenware! Get a unique look behind the scenes at one fo the largest producers of Delft blue products. This summer Heinen Delfts Blauw opens the doors to its factory in Putten so visitors can see with their own eyes how Delft blue is made. They also get the chance to pick up a brush themselves and try the art of Delft blue painting. There is no better way of learning something, than trying it yourself.
Enter the moden spout gable house at the Industrieweg in Putten and take part in a workshop Delft blue painting and get a tour of the entire process of how Delft blue earthenware is made. Literally look over the shoulders of our master painters, learn all about our molds and how to pour them and discover what happens when we glaze and fire the painted porcelain. With all this brand new knowledge in the back of your mind it is then time to try the art of Delft blue painting yourself, during one of our workshops. The workshop is suitable for all ages, for the youngest participants we have fun DIY products to decorate.
Heinen Delfts Blauw is a family company from Putten that grew to become one of the largest producers of Delft blue worldwide. The company has now factories and stores in Amsterdam and Delft, but also Curaçao and China. The tour and the workshop are available two days a week in the months July, August and September. The costs for the tour and workshop, including tea, coffee, lemonade and a tasty snack, are €39,- for an adult and €29,- for a child.

Is Putten too far away this summer? We also give workshops Delft blue painting in Amsterdam at 'De Munt' and in Rijswijk, close to the town center of Delft, at Heinen Delfts Blauw 'de fabriek'.

Heinen Delfts Blauw heeft samen met Heiko Balster een uniek Delfts blauw kaststel gemaakt. De eigentijdse variant op dit typisch Hollandse decorstuk is oorspronkelijk gemaakt voor kunstfestival Masterly The Hague. Meesterschilder Wilma Plaisier van Heinen Delfts Blauw heeft ook haar eigen versie gemaakt van dit kunstzinnige kaststel. Het eindresultaat is een verrassende ontmoeting tussen modern en klassiek.
Dit zijn ze dan. De twee grootste Delfts blauwe vazen ter wereld. De twee porseleinen reuzen van ruim drie meter hoog zijn vanmiddag afgeleverd bij de Delfts Blauw Fabriek PAAUW door het VOC-schip Statenjacht Utrecht. Zonder scherven!
