The monkeys on the tableware are an age-old theme in Delft blue. This genre of monkeys in satirical situations was a popular theme 400 years ago and we like to bring these funny pranksters back to the table. In addition to symbolizing absurdity, monkeys in Asia are depicted on porcelain to depict wisdom and longevity. Nice to set the table with and it also combines beautifully with the Sharing Moments Tulip tableware!
