Written by Martijn On
2019 is the Year of the Dutch Golden Age. The century in which the VOC fleet brings Chinese porcelain to The Netherlands and the demand for Delft blue pottery increases. Our collection 'The Golden Age' is a romantic tribute to this time of wealth with beautiful floral prints that you might recognize from art in the Rijksmuseum.

The Dutch Golden Age is the start of a fantastic time of growth for the Dutch trade. Thanks to the Dutch East India Company (VOC) the Dutch get introduced to porcelain from Asia, with it's characteristic blue paintwork. The innovative Dutch create their own pottery by using experimental painting and baking techniques. The world famous Delft blue pottery is born.
