How to attach wall circles to the wall

Modern wall circles
When the first wall circles appeared last year, our design team jumped on this trend and explored what else we could do with this home design item. A porcelain wall plate is one of the most traditional Delft blue home decor items in Dutch history, so when we saw the chance to develop a more modern variety we took it. The dibond wall circles are a modern take on the traditional plate: they are large, light weight and the possibilities indoors and outdoors are endless.

Wall circles for outside
A modern wall circle has many more possibilities for use than a fragile porcelain wall plate. They are made of a very strong dibon material which makes the wall plate a lot less sensitive for damage, compared to a wall plate made of earthenware. Another advantage is that they are very light weight, which makes it a lot easier to attach such a large wall plate to the wall. Dibond material is also suitable for outdoors. It can stand all weather types like rain and frost. This creates fun possibilities now that the garden is more often involved in home interior. Do keep in mind that if the dibond wall plate is exposed to bright sunlight, over time the colors might fade a little.

Wall circles for the nursery
Decorating a nursery is an important part of preparing for the arrival of your little one. It slowly prepares the parents for the expansion of their family. Neutral tones are often used for the nursery and soft fabrics and natural materials. A wall circle is a beautiful addition to the baby's room. A circle is often used as a symbol for a pregnancy and birth so the round shape feels like a logical shape in a nursery. The right wall circle can enhance the feel of the room without drawing all the attention. Another popular choice these days is to print details of the birth notification onto a wall circle, or to simply add the baby's name. Also prints with cute forest animals or lush flowers are a beloved decoration for the nursery. The trend of your own photo printed on a wall circle is slowly starting to disappear. Prints of timeless and well known paintings are up and coming.
Wall circles in the living room
There are countless studies behind the effect different shapes have on us. A round shape tends to gives us a feeling of calmness, relaxation and trust. A circle represents security, tenderness and grace. It is therefor not surprising that we like to see a round shape in our interior design. Especially since the covid crisis, people value their cosy homes and they want to feel safe. This might be part of the reason why wall circles became so popular over the last few years. The living room is the ideal space to play around with wall circles. They are a stylish addition to your walls. Depending on the size of your living room you can choose one large wall circle on the wall to draw the attention or when you have a large empty wall to play around with; pick wall circles of different sizes and matching designs.
To make the wall circle stand out even more, you can paint a square border onto your wall in which you hang the wall circle. By using these different shapes and colors you create a surprising and playful effect while at the same time, the square shape gives the circle a sort of frame. Because we are used to seeing square shaped figures on walls it creates a sense of familiarity while the circle within gives a surprising effect.

Wall circles of famous paintings
From one day to another you saw them everywhere: large wall circles with printed photos of (grand)children, a wedding photo or a beautiful landscape photo of a special trip. This trend, wall circles with private photos printed onto them, is a disappearing trend. What we see now is the rise of wall circles with world famous paintings, by old Dutch master painters such as Van Gogh and Johannes Vermeer. At Heinen Delfts Blauw we don't simply follow a trend, we take it to the next level. Our own master painter studied the paintings of the old Dutch masters of the Golden Age and she turned them into a beautiful collection of wall circles. To really make those wall circles our own, she added a delicate Delft blue twist to the painting. These wall circles look especially stunning in the living room or in the office.
Wall circles of different sizes
The wall circles by Heinen Delfts Blauw are available in three different sizes: 60 cm, 80 cm and 100 cm. This gives you the choice to pick the right size wall circle that matches your living room, nursery or bedroom best. Thanks to the three different sizes you can also combine multiple wall circles together to create a statement wall. The wall circles are very thing, with a size of only 3 mm thick. This way they always very flat onto the wall, which makes them more part of the wall. To make it as easy as possible for you, the wall circles by Heinen Delfts Blauw come with their own attachment system so you don't need to drill holes in the wall. So no damage to your wall done and you can easily move the wall circles around when you want to move them a little bit to the right or left.
