Meet Nhaan, the celebrity dog on our new tableware!
Nhaan is slowly becoming the most famous dog in The Netherlands. ‘Who?’ you might ask, especially if you are not big into the lives of Dutch tv stars. Well, Nhaan. The hairy showbizz dog of tv personality Janny van der Heijden. This four legged diva manages to find a place in people’s hearts. She has her own Instagram account, shines on covers of magazines and even landed a few tv appearances. Now this adorable dachshund even got her own Delft blue tableware collection!

If there is anyone who enjoys Janny van der Heijden’s cooking, it has to be her dog. The love for good food is passed on from owner to pet. Janny her darling dog has no interest in the ordinary dog biscuits, but as soon as she gets the chance she runs of with a piece of exclusive truffle cheese. Not so weird when you consider what she is surrounded by! Why settle for the ordinary, when you are surrounded by so much quality food that is tingling your senses. We understand this attitude, because we are exactly the same when it comes to producing quality Delft blue earthenware. Only the best, we don’t settle for less.

Nhaan didn’t always live the tv star life she has now. Up until she was two years old she spend her time in a dog kennel, where she felt very lonely. Nhaan was a bit of a loner, she can’t deal with dominant dogs and rather withdraws herself than confronting other dogs. She seems to be eternally grateful to Janny for taking her away from that kennel and for giving her a home, because since day one she follows Janny like a shadow. She even gets into a panic when she doesn’t see her around. That love is mutual. The two became real friends and are inseparable, in front or behind the cameras.

So basically, a true rags to riches story. And now Nhaan is the only dachshund in The Netherlands with her own Delft blue tableware collection, for as far as we know anyway. The master painter of Heinen Delfts Blauw created an adorable portrait of this hairy dog and let her run around on saucers, plates and tea cups. The Dachshund collection matches beautifully with the already existing Sharing Moments collection on which lush tulips and cheeky monkeys take center stage.
