Bring Dutch coziness and the relaxed charm of the Mediterranean to your table with this wavy-edged breakfast plate from our Majolica collection. This collection is inspired by centuries-old majolica traditions from Southern Europe and the rich history of Delft blue ceramics. The result of this meeting is a breezy, hand-painted tableware line with a warm and inviting character. Majolica was the predecessor of Delft blue and was introduced to the Netherlands in the 16th century via Italy and Spain. Italian potters collaborated with Delftware makers, resulting in a unique style: loosely painted ceramics with blue designs on a white tin glaze. This technique forms the artistic foundation of our collection. 

Each Majolica breakfast plate is hand-painted with expressive, free brushstrokes. No piece is exactly the same and those small imperfections are what give the tableware its charm and character. The gentle waves along the rim are a nod to traditional relief plates once used in Dutch folk pottery.
