This dinnerware set is part of the Paauw Blauw collection by Heinen Delfts Blauw. As the name suggests, the set is richly decorated with stunning peacock feathers and traditional Delft blue motifs. Peacock feathers have always been admired for their striking beauty, but they also symbolize love and happiness and were historically worn as a status symbol, particularly in the ancient Chinese Empire.
For Heinen Delfts Blauw, the peacock holds special meaning. This collection also serves as a tribute to our former Delft blue factory, which was named “De Paauw.” A pottery factory that had existed since 1651 and originally produced under the name “De Delftse Pauw.” This factory was one of the few remaining producers to continue the tradition of fully hand-painted Delft blue earthenware.
With this dinnerware set, you have a complete basic set for six people at home. The set can easily be expanded with individual plates, mugs, and bowls from the collection.
