The Blu Halo lamp by Heinen Delft Blue and Jacob de Baan is exposed at the summer exhibition by Gallery Sille. This art gallery in Oudewater picked the theme 'Delft blue' and selected 45 pieces from over 200 submissions, Blu Halo is one of the chosen ones.
Every summer Gallery Sille organises an exhibition with a theme. This year the theme is 'Delft blue', right up our alley! Hundreds of artists submitted their work and only 45 items got selected for the exhibition. Our lamp Blu Halo, from designer Jacob de Baan, also got selected.

Jacob de Baan has a passion for light and the perception of light with the human eye. The famed designer created the lighting series Blu Halo for Heinen Delfts Blauw, inspired by white holes in the universe. Jacob: “The series signature is a round, closed shape, hollow inside and white round hole in the centre. The rounded trumpet shape creates a free spreading of the light, towards the top as well as to the bottom. You can compare this principle to the white holes in the universe, all the matter that comes near it is then shot into space. Thanks to this light effect it looks as if the lamp is floating and the lamp seems transparent. The reflection on the wall creates an eclipse effect of a sunset or a campfire.”
The exhibition with artwork from different artists lasts for the entire summer at Gallery Sille in Oudewater.
