Blauw Vouw
Blauw Vouw tableware by Heinen Delfts Blauw
At Heinen Delfts Blauw we love beautiful tableware and dining sets. That is why we asked Dutch designer Romy Kuhne to create a collection that combines traditional Delft blue with popular modern lifestyle trends. This resulted in the popular Blauw Vouw (Blue Fold) collection. A collection full of beautiful tableware pieces that you definitely want for your home.
Romy Kuhne felt inspired by the Japanese folding art Origami and combined this century old craft with another century old craft: Delft blue painting on porcelain. What she managed to create is a special meeting of two cultures that both have a meaningful history with blue-on-white porcelain. Romy’s design is recognized by it’s geometric shapes and an eye for craftsmanship. “At a time when mass production and" fast "techniques such as 3D printing dominate design, I want the craft to be preserved. That is why I combine traditional and modern techniques and design. The "Blauw Vouw" tableware is an example of this."
