This espresso cup and matching saucer are made of porcelain and have a capacity of 70 ml. The cup has no handle, but thanks to its geometric folds, it sits firmly and comfortably in the hand. The matching saucer completes the set and provides space for a small spoon or treat. The espresso cup is part of the Blauw Vouw collection by Dutch designer Romy Kühne.
The ceramic traditions of Asia and the Netherlands are deeply intertwined. In honour of this connection, Romy Kühne designed the Blauw Vouw tableware collection: a surprising encounter between the Asian art of origami and traditional Dutch Delft blue. The collection includes an extensive range of cups, mugs, plates, bowls and decorative pieces. Romy Kühne’s work is characterised by geometric shapes and a strong appreciation for craftsmanship.
