We took the famous portrait by Johannes Vermeer and transformed the girl into a three-dimensional bust, including faux pearl earrings in both ears. On the top of her head, in her headscarf, are openings into which the fresh flowers can be inserted. A bust was originally a sculpture that was intended as a counterpart to a painted portrait.
