Casting

The foundation of every object begins with liquid clay made according to our own proprietary recipe. After casting, each piece is refined and carefully finished by hand.

Painting

With precision and a steady hand, our ceramic painters apply the decoration layer by layer using paint prepared according to our own formula. As a final touch, they add their signature and the Heinen Delfts Blauw hallmark.

Glazing

After painting, each object is coated with a transparent glaze. During firing, the glaze fuses with the decoration, while the grey paint transforms into its characteristic Delft blue color.
