The Goldfinch might be the most famous bird in the world. This small little bird looks at you directly, while his little leg is attached to a chain. Our very own master painters took the bird and surrounded it with lush pastel colored flowers and added it to a mug. The gold colored handle is a reference to the Golden Age, a period in time during which Dutch painters created their best masterpieces that are still admired today. Fabritius was seen as one of the founders of the Delft School, just like Johannes Vermeer was.
