Make Slow Coffee with Heinen Delfts Blauw

Slow coffee is becoming increasingly popular and is being discovered by more and more people. A cup of coffee from one of those coffee machines that do all the work for you, compares in no way to a delicious aromatic cup of coffee that you made yourself. Pick your favorite blend of coffee beans and take your time to grind them well. The aroma that comes free during this process already prepares your senses for that first taste of coffee that follows later. If you are looking for a bit of extra comfort or a 'pick me up', now is the time to add some spices like cinnamon, anise or nutmeg.

When the water boiled, wait a few moments till it cooled down a little bit. When the water is too hot it can burn the coffee powder which destroys the flavor of the coffee. Prepare your slow coffee maker in the meantime! Add a paper filter to the porcelain pour over and add the grinded coffee beans. Pour a little bit of hot water on the coffee powder until all of the powder is saturated and leave it alone for half a minute. Then pour the rest of the water into the filter and watch the coffee pot slowly fill itself with coffee.

Now its a matter of waiting till the coffee is ready. A great moment to slow down, while the coffee pot fills up. If you prefer to drink creamy cappuccino later, now is the right time to warm up some milk. When the coffee is done, fill your coffee mug with the coffee, add the whipped milk and perhaps some cinnamon or chocolate powder on top. Now it is finally time for that long anticipated tasty cup of slow coffee.
