Artist Pepijn van den Nieuwendijk has breathed new life into this peculiar bird in the form of De Blauwe Dodo (The Blue Dodo). In his eyes, it is a time traveler, an adventurous loner traveling around the world. Father Jaap and son Jorrit Heinen are also somewhat unusual birds in the world of ceramics, taking the world by storm in their own unique way. With great passion and a rebellious spirit, they make traditional Delft blue, but in a modern guise, ensuring that this special craft does not die out but remains alive for future generations.
