Two trendy espresso cups from the De Blauwe Fiets collection (The Blue Bicycle). This collection is a design by the French illustrator Sylvain Tegroeg for Heinen Delfts Blauw. The Frenchman gets his inspiration from the many bicycles that zip by everywhere in the Netherlands. Especially in the eyes of foreign visitors, the number of bicycles in the Netherlands is a fascinating phenomenon. De Blauwe Fiets collection brings together two traditional Dutch elements: Delft blue and bicycles. The illustrator has chosen a sketchy illustration form to give the collection a fresh and modern look. At first glance it looks like a swarm of bicycles, but the longer you look at the cup, the more different types of bicycles you see. From the beloved grandpa bike to a fully loaded cargo bike.
