healing powers of nature

Interior Trend Healing Home

Nature is healing for both body and soul. In our Dutch forests, heathlands, beaches, lakes, and rivers, life teems with vitality. Here, people find peace and relaxation, and connections are formed between humans and life—ranging from delicate short-blooming flowers to giant old oaks and all the animals that live between them.

The big trend for spring 2026 is Healing Home. Bringing the healing and comforting power of nature indoors. Practically speaking, this means we'll see a return of many natural and handcrafted materials in interiors, such as real wood, handmade ceramics, and woolen cushions. As for the color palette, it seems to come straight from the forest. Calm, nature-inspired colors that embrace and warm us, with olive green, deep-sea blue, and terra-brown being the most prominent. Deep, saturated colors that bring tranquility.

Botanical prints & landscapes

Home decorations that align with the Healing Home interior trend mainly feature round, flowing shapes and bring the outdoors inside. Think of wall plates with Dutch landscapes or botanical prints. Views that literally give you a broader perspective on life and let the living room overflow into the vastness of nature.

There’s little room for many small home decor items, but more investment is made in larger pieces to create a tidy and spacious feel. However, we do see small decor pieces returning in the form of 3D wall animals like birds, dragonflies, and butterflies, which are subtly combined with more striking wall decorations.

Modern Tuscan

After a long cold winter, we yearn for the spring sun. It’s no surprise that a trend like Modern Tuscan is emerging this year. After quite a few truly wintry days, the desire for sun, warmth, and the carefree Mediterranean lifestyle grows stronger. This trend also stems from the Healing Nature trend, as coastal living is often linked to a long and healthy life. Under the Tuscan sun, relaxation is a top priority. So is enjoying delicious and healthy food, preferably straight from the land. This also aligns with the longing for a cozy home where well-being takes center stage.

In our interiors, we see this reflected in the form of playful, flowing lines and decorations where cheerfulness is key. Think of tableware with a summery vibe, wall plates full of animals, and wall creatures like lobsters and fish. Natural materials play a big role again: think of wood, linen, and handmade ceramics. The Tuscan trend also aligns with this year's colors: blue like the sea and the warm brown of the earth.
