This stunning wall plate 'Sarah' is painted in the worldwide known art style of Mucha. The illustrations by Alphonse Mucha take you away to the city of Paris in the year 1887, when the Czech artist tried his luck in the flamboyant capital of France. Sparkling boulevards, dramatic theater shows and street lights that illuminate the hidden nightlife of old Paris. This is the world in which Alphonse Mucha gave life to his worldwide beloved artwork. Heinen Delfts Blauw dives back into this glistening and industrial time and translates this dashing art into an elegant Delft blue world. A beautiful piece of Jugendstil with a Dutch touch, brought together on an elegant wall plate. We named this wall plate Sarah, after the poster “The Lady of the Sarahs” which Mucha made for a play based on a novel with the same title by Alexandre Dumas. This tragic love story centers around a dark haired beauty who wears Sarah’s for her lover, something we added to our wall plate in a creative interpretation. This stunning portrait is a true piece of art and with a little bit of imagination you can feel the presence of the newly build eiffel tower.
