These fun decorated espresso mugs are part of the Sharing Moments collection by Janny van der Heijden. The espresso mugs are made of porcelain and is decorated with traditional Delft blue details and with mischievous monkeys. In collaboration with Heinen Delfts Blauw, Janny van der Heijden designed her own tableware collection with the name Sharing Moments. The first line of this collection is all about lush tulips and bold stripes, but the second line centers around monkeys. “Monkey business is a synonym for pulling pranks and for imitating human behavior”, says Janny about her designs. “The playful monkeys displayed on the tableware collection for Heinen Delfts Blauw bring a smile to your face. This theme of monkeys in funny situations has been a popular decoration on porcelain for over four hundred years and I love to bring them back to the table.” In Asia monkeys also symbolize wisdom and a long and happy life.
