“The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree”. A dutch saying which means that children often resemble their parents. The English equivalent is: “A chip of the old block”. This porcelain plate is a fun gift for someone who can appreciate a personal joke. The plate visualises an old Dutch saying. It is up to the receiver of the plate to guess the hidden meaning and why this applies to him or her. It is a Dutch tradition to hang tiles of wisdom with sayings on the toilet, but we made a modern version of this by using wall plates without words. On the back of the plate you find two small holes so you can easily attach it to the wall. Collect them all for a fun statement wall!
