This tea mug is made of porcelain and has an angular ear and is decorated with flowers and accents of gold. The tea mug is part of the collection Avondbloem by Heinen Delfts Blauw. The tableware collection Avondbloem is a minimalistic tableware set made of porcelain with a bit of a robust look. The thin porcelain is decorated with typical Delft blue decorations in grey tones and the tableware has a few robust details like the angular ears you see on the mugs. Other than that there are no unnecessary decorations. The grey tones point to the magical proces that happens when Delft blue porcelain goes into the oven. The master painters at Heinen Delfts Blauw usually paint with cobalt oxide, a color pigment which kinda looks like charcoal and which transforms into an iconic blue after glazing and firing the painted porcelain. For the Avondbloem collection we decided to use the color of the paint before the transformation happens. The result is a minimalistic collection with stunning black and grey decorations. THIS TABLEWARE IS DISHWASHERPROOF.
