Indoor planters and flower pots

Written by Annette O'Shea On

Many people have already had their Christmas trees removed from their homes! If you're also someone who resolutely puts away all your Christmas stuff as soon as New Year's Eve is over, you're probably left with a lot of empty spaces in your house right now. Time for fresh, new home decoration to fill the void after Christmas.

Home decoration after Christmas

During the Christmas season we fill our houses with lavish Christmas decorations. Cozy Christmas lights, nativity scenes, wreaths and of course the showpiece of Christmas: the Christmas tree. For a few weeks we immerse ourselves in all this warmth, cheerfulness and conviviality. It can therefore suddenly feel cold and empty when Christmas is over and all these cozy home decorations disappear again. Winter is still long and the empty spaces in the house are just crying out for new home decoration to dress up the house, so that we can bridge the gray period until spring.

Add more green to your home decor

The biggest loss in terms of size is usually the Christmas tree. In addition to small Christmas lights and beautiful ornaments, the Christmas tree also brought a lot of green into the house and the color green is refreshing and hopeful. So it's no wonder that your house suddenly feels empty as soon as the Christmas tree is gone. Fill the space with a beautiful houseplant, with a large and sturdy leaf such as the fiddle leaf plant, or choose the extremely popular monstera with a heart-shaped leaf. If you really find it a disaster to keep plants alive, choose the aglaonema, a strong plant that does not need much light and water.

Wall planters

If you are very happy with the extra space you have now that the Christmas tree is gone again, but you are missing some plants in your home, then flower pots for the wall, or wall planters, are a nice option. Our wall planters have a flattened side with holes in it, so you can easily hang the flower pot on the wall. The Delft blue flower pots for the wall look extra nice when you combine them with matching wall plates or wall birds. Another nice option is to place hanging plants such as ivy or philodendron in a hanging flower pot and hang it from the ceiling. The ideal way to brighten up a boring corner in the room without sacrificing space.
